About the Branches

From around 1850 the Family Tree splits into ten family branches. Whilst the ancestor who heads each branch was to some extent an arbitrary choice, the object of the exercise was to break up the rapidly expanding tree into a sensible number of manageable groups, purely for convenience.

Family members thought to be living have been removed to protect their privacy. Further to this, and although such information already lies 'out there' in the public domain, if any person objects to particular details being published in this way, please email me and I will remove the information.
